Behold Studios, the developer behind Sentai parody game Chroma Squadhave announced a new game which pits plays against any persons worst nightmare: annoying roommates. Out Of Space is a co-operative space sim about trying to maintain a dream home while dealing with mundane household tasks, strange alien goo, and even the occasional alien invasion. The game will feature solo mode, local co-op and online play and players will have to work together to get their menial house tasks organized without being killed off by the rigors of deep space.

While Out of Space is set to mainly feature ordinary and menial tasks the developers made it clear that there was going to be more of a spin on the players daily requirements than simply cleaning up rooms and sweeping dusty floor. Saulo Camarotti of Behold Studios said:

“Almost everyone has experienced the frustration of figuring out who’s responsible for all those mundane household tasks, but imagine if you lived in space how much more challenging it would be to even take the dog for a walk.”
Graphically Out of Space is something of a departure for Behold Studios as it will be their first game to be produced using full 3D rendering instead of pixel graphics like their previous games. More information about the game is expected to be made available at GDC where the game will be available for demo. Out of Space will allow for up to four players to play at once and is expected for a fall release on Windows, Mac and Linux as well as Xbox One and PlayStation 4. For more information, you can check out the game's Steam page and the developer's official website.
