Today it was announced that the TV show American Ninja Warrior is coming to PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch. This game has come about from a joint venture between NBC, Universal Games, and GameMill Entertainment. While the name GameMill Entertainment may not jump off the page for a lot of people they are the developers behind Nickelodeon Kart Racers, Cartoon Network Battle Crashers, recent Rapala fishing games, and previous TV Show turned Video Game Are you Smarter Than A 5th Grader?
Aiming to bring the iconic look and complexity of American Ninja Warrior to console players will be able to create their own avatar and run the course to achieve Total Victory. As you’re running through the course there will even be commentary from show co-hosts Matt Iseman and Akbar Gbajabiamila. Tim Flaherty, a partner at GameMill Entertainment, had the following to say on the topic of the announcement of the game:
American Ninja Warrior has continuously grown in popularity over the past 10 seasons and we are thrilled to partner with NBCUniversal to bring fans an authentic and action-packed American Ninja Warrior experience on gaming consoles for the first time, We are excited to unveil the many challenging and fun features in the coming months, which are designed to allow players to step into the shoes of their very own American Ninja Warrior competitor.
Accompanying the announcement was a short trailer showing off some of the events along the course as well as the character customization options. Not only will you be able to change the color and style of what your character is wearing but you can get a variety of outfits as well, some of the ones included in the trailer include Firefighter, Ninja, and Super Ninja whatever that is.
American Ninja Warrior will be available on all current gen consoles and will be released before too long on the 19th of March. At this point in time, a price for the game has not been released.
