Bethesda games are well known for their post-release mods, and many big ones are already planned for popular games such as Skyrim and Fallout 4. Perhaps one of the more ambitious mods are total overhauls into a brand new setting. One of them, for Fallout 4, is the ambitious Fallout: Miami, which saw a fresh new trailer drop today showcasing the studio-level quality of the mod for players to check out.

Fallout: Miami is spearheaded by Milan Brajkovic, also known as Mika999. Primarily working on the mod as a visual artist, Brajkovic is a fairly prolific modder on Nexus Mods, with his major claim to fame being the extensive Shard of Oblivion mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.

Brajkovic leads a team of fairly prolific modders from all over the globe, including 3D and concept artists, animators, writers, and composers to produce a DLC-sized experience for Fallout 4. The Vacation Wasteland contains all you would expect from a Fallout experience, from various factions vying for control of the Wasteland to deadly hazards such as new raider gangs, slavers, and "Gatorclaws", the reptilian cousins of the Deathclaw. One unique aspect for Fallout: Miami will be the introduction of vehicles. Based on Fallout lore, these customized vehicles will be fully usable in-game, allowing players to traverse the wasteland with ease.

Other mysteries, including brand new threats, may befall the player while they are in Miami, but the team is currently tight-lipped on the extent of the in-game lore they are exploring at this time.

Fallout: Miami does not currently have a release date, but Brajkovic and his team are still recruiting anyone willing to contribute to the project. Brajkovic also has a patreon page set up for further support for the project, where a $5 contribution will give supporters sneak peeks to photos,  and in-game videos, as well as a games giveaway campaign when 50 or more people become patrons. The games giveaway campaign will have each patron entered into a raffle to win one standard "on-wish" game for Steam or Origin per month.

Fallout: Miami is not the only major mod being worked on for Fallout games right now. Two big projects, Fallout 4: New Vegas is a major mod that plans to bring New Vegas into the Fallout 4 engine. Fallout: New California is another large mod set for Fallout New Vegas itself, slated for release this October.

Fallout: Miami will hit Nexus Mods soon, and is currently exclusive to the PC version of Fallout 4.
