Chainsawesome Games has announced that their 3v3 shooter Aftercharge will be coming to the PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch with support for cross-platform play between all three according to a news post on the developer's website.

Aftercharge is an asymmetrical 3v3 shooter that we previewed last year. The map we played had "power nodes" that one team had to defend while another team tried to destroy them. The defenders are invulnerable troopers with weapons that must recharge off of the nodes. This ensures that they'll be sticking quite close to the objectives. Conversely, the attackers are much larger robots sporting stealth technology. They attempt to break the nodes while avoiding incoming fire. A gameplay trailer was released for the game which can let you get a feel for how it all plays out:

Aftercharge is a heck of a lot of fun, and it looks like it's heading closer to a full release on Steam. The Xbox One & Nintendo Switch have been announced as platforms for the game. What's more interesting is that players will be able to go head-to-head against one another in a cross-platform system. As it stands, Nintendo's newest console doesn't have much in the way of cross-platform games save for a handful of games (such as Rocket League). This is sure to be a welcome addition to the lineup for players who game on multiple systems.

More news will be coming about Aftercharge in the near future. PAX East Attendees should keep their eyes open for Chainsawesome Games. The developer will have a playable build of the game on display at Booth#15104. They'll also be debuting a brand new map and two new classes for the game. The full version of Aftercharge should release sometime this year.
