Activision Blizzard, publisher of the Call of Duty franchise, has announced a new content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops III and declared that the profits from sales will go to the Call of Duty Endowment, an initiative which funds civilian career training placement for U.S. military veterans. The C.O.D.E. Warriors Personalization Pack includes three new reticles, a camouflage weapon skin, as well as a unique calling card, and retails for $3.99.

The Call of Duty Endowment seeks to fund organizations which locate career opportunities for veterans, and Activision handles all related costs for its operations. So far, they have placed over seventeen thousand veterans and counting. The charity was incorporated by Activision's CEO in October 2009, and has donated millions of dollars to nonprofit organizations supporting veterans since that year. Activision itself has donated over twelve million dollars in that time, and this DLC marks a continuing trend by Activision to bring greater awareness to it's player base about C.O.D.E.

Previous events to raise money for C.O.D.E. included #TheRace, a yearly donation livestream which totaled $450,000 this year, and the Call Of Duty XP convention in 2011, the ticket sales to which also funded the endowment. With over 6,000 fans attending the $150 event, the convention was a major financial boon for the Call of Duty Endowment. Although it's unlikely as much money will be raised as quickly this time around, this DLC pack offers a great opportunity for players to offer their own piece of support if they feel so inclined. Senior Vice President Rob Kostich elaborated on that point specifically on Tuesday,

"The personalization pack lets the Call of Duty community help veterans, while playing a game they love. We’re grateful to our players and our platform partners for helping veterans secure high-quality careers.”

The C.O.D.E. Warriors Personalization Pack is available through Call of Duty: Black Ops III on PS4, Xbox One and PC now, as well as the Playstation Network, and Xbox Live stores. It is not available on Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3.
