TechRaptor is 1

Welcome to TechRaptor's own awards! We will be voting on the same nominees internally with staff but thought it would be fun to also point out which games our readers enjoyed the most. Vote as many times as you would like. Check out the link here and vote on what you'd like to win.

If you think we missed out on some worthy nominees, or you think what you would award the winner to a game that is not there, let us know here. More details on that in the link.

We did the nomination process in a few rounds. Our first round was just letting people nominate whatever game they wanted on the categories above. We let our writers nominate up to two games per category. Our twist on this was that we broke up nominations per each half the year, the first being January 1 - June 30 and the second being July 1 - December 31st. Writers could nominate two games per half per category, so essentially 4 games altogether per category if they wished to. We wanted to make sure that those released earlier in the year were remembered as well. After a little over a week, we compiled that list and moved on to round 2.

Round 2: We still segregated the two halves of the year, allowing writers to vote on up to three games per category, per half of the year (up to five on both Indie Game of the Year and Pick of the Year). The top three (top 5 for Indie and Pick of the Year) from each category's half of the year were then compiled into the list you now see above.

This is round 3, the final round. Those that have more than six nominees are due to ties in the voting.

Voting will remain open until 1/10/2016

Results will be revealed in the week following 1/10/2016. We will have writeups on each category, with our writers writing some blurbs for the top three games in each category (top 5 for Indie and Pick of the Year). We'll also of course be including what our Readers' Choice was for each category.

Have fun voting and I hope you enjoy seeing the outcome (nobody's ever unhappy with that are they?)
