Open world survival game Green Hell has released an image and associated press release detailing the new features that will be arriving in the future. This Green Hell Roadmap is short but sweet, giving us an idea of what we can expect to see soon.

If you haven't heard of this title, Green Hell has you getting plopped down in the middle of the Amazon rainforest without any food, water, or human contact. You are totally on your own and must learn real-world survival techniques in order to keep going and make your escape, but it won't be easy — your mind is liable to play tricks on you. That's on top of all of the deadly threats lurking in the rainforest. Now, we've got an idea what will be coming in the rest of this year and into the next.

The Green Hell Roadmap

The Green Hell Roadmap states that plant cultivation and expanded shelters will be made available before the end of 2019 alongside support for controllers. We also might get a co-op mode before the year is out, although it's possible that that could be pushed back to 2020.

2020 is where we'll get to see our first major content update for the game. Furthermore, console versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will be released.

The developers say in their press release that they are aiming for high-quality releases with this content, hence the possibility of a delay on co-op mode. They want to get these new features right the first time around and that might necessitate a delay to do it properly.

If Green Hell sounds like the sort of game you'd love to play, you can buy it right now on Steam at a price of $24.99 or your regional equivalent.

What do you think of the Green Hell Roadmap? Are you excited to play this game in co-op or do you think it's the sort of game best experienced alone? Let us know in the comments below!
