TechRaptor Kickstarter

This is a project that I personally have been alluding to for a long time in our State of TechRaptor videos, because we kept pushing it back to ensure that everything was in place and that we had every piece of detail ready for you as we launch.

Without any further delay: we've officially launched a Kickstarter for the full redesign and expansion of our site, something that we've put a lot of time and effort behind over the last few months. This is a big endeavor for us, because while the base design of our new site is really fantastic, we want to do so much more with our readers. This Kickstarter is a way for us to make that happen at a much more rapid pace, while giving readers some great perks for supporting us!

We've crafted a page that has all the information you could need, or want, about the redesign that we have in progress, including why we've decided to do a Kickstarter. Between the new design, new forums, addition of game pages, membership, and a number of other features—there's a ton of information on the page for you to explore.

We're unbelievably excited to talk about this next step in our evolution, and it's been really hard keeping both projects (site + Kickstarter) under wraps over the last few months, especially with how we're used to sharing everything with our readers!

We have a number of awesome rewards planned for the campaign, and can't wait to see what you think of everything we've worked so hard to put together. There's much more waiting to be revealed, depending on how the Kickstarter does, too!

I'd be a fool to say that money isn't a big factor in the success of our project, but sharing is very important too! Which is why we've added a number of social goals that unlock fun events and things for the whole community to share. We want everyone to feel like their shares matter to the Kickstarter, because beyond how important your sharing is to TechRaptor, your word of mouth recommendation will go a long way to introducing our page and product(s) to new people!

Our readers, and community, are what keep TechRaptor and its staff going on a daily basis. One of my favorite things to say (because it's true) is that "we're here for our readers, and because of our readers" and that without your continued support we wouldn't flourish as a site. The last 3+ years have been an amazing journey so far, and we're excited to write new content for you every day, and even more excited to do fun new things with you in the future.

On a personal note: I love our readers. You guys call us on our mistakes (which we'll gladly own up to and fix), tweet out stories we should look at, share some great jokes, and always bring interesting discussions to the site. With the new site's goal being to grow TechRaptor into a greater community with the addition of membership and solid forums, I personally can't wait to interact with you even more on a regular basis. I'm so excited to share this next step with all of you!

We'll also be doing our monthly Q&A on Saturday (July 23rd) at 8p EST to answer any Kickstarter questions you have, and to re-answer any we've already received to make sure that everyone is heard!
