Handelabra Games has announced the release of a totally free Learn to Play Edition of the TechRaptor favorite Sentinels of the Multiverse the Video Game.

Available at http://sentinelsdigital.com/learntoplay.html, the Learn to Play Edition of the game will feature a single scenario, giving players the option to play it with or without the tutorial. Players will have access to the 'Freedom 4' that consists of Legacy, Bunker, Tachyon and The Wraith, and will face off against the maniacal Baron Blade in the game's Insula Primalis setting.

The tutorial is a guided mode in which Christopher Badell, the original designer of Sentinels of the Multiverse, will teach new players the game in a step by step manner. Once players have a good grasp of the rules, the Learn to Play addition will allow them to play through the battle without the tutorial and will even allow players to alter the hero order, which can have a profound effect on the way that the game plays out.

The Learn to Play Edition will not be  time limited and, aside from the absence of online multiplayer, will give players a taste of every feature available in the full retail version of the game.

The Sentinels of the Multiverse: Learn to Play Edition will be available beginning today, Thursday, October 29, 2015 on iTunes, Google Play, Amazon Appstore, and Steam, or you can download Mac, Windows, or Linux versions directly from SentinelsDigital.com.

Quick Take

I'm a big fan of both the physical and the digital version of Sentinels of the Multiverse. I think Handelabra is definitely taking a step in the right direction in a time when most companies seem to be completely averse to offering demos of their games.

If you've even been remotely interested in Sentinels of the Multiverse you should definitely take a look at the Learn to Play Edition, especially now that online multiplayer is available.
