Are you getting the error message: “Application failed to Initialize properly: 0xc0000135” and cannot find out what is wrong?
As you might have already found (if you did a web search of course!), the most common cause for this error is not having the .NET framework installed on your system (or not installed properly).
There is an easy way to determine if this is the case:
1. Press Start and go to the Control Panel.
2. Under the Control Panel, go to Add/Remove Programs or Programs and Features
3. Check to see if any form of .NET framework is installed on your computer, if it is not, then you need to install .NET framework 1.1, found at this link
4. After installing, you should then be able to run your program!
If that is NOT the case:
Uninstall .NET framework 1.1 and above and re-install them on the computer
If uninstalling and re-installing does not work, then the last option would be to completely wipe and re-install Windows (Whatever version you are running) due to a possible issue with the Registry entries for the .Net Framework
