Just Dance 2016 is the newest addition to the popular franchise to be released by Ubisoft this October. Instead of requiring extra accessories to play, the new Just Dance will only require your smartphone and Just Dance Controller App. The new app will allow players to track their calories burnt, create playlists, and allows for up to six players at once on the newest consoles. The new Just Dance also comes with an all new soundtrack, featuring Lady Gaga, Meghan Trainor, Jason Derulo, and several others. Players will have the option to subscribe for Just Dance Unlimited which will give them access to the default songs and to a frequently updated track list.

The new game also implements new dance modes. "Dance Party", a cooperative mode in which several players dancing at once add to a group high score, rather than individual scores. "Dance Quests" is a sort of story mode which can unlock more songs and content. "World Video Challenge" allows plays to compete with strangers and friends across the world. There is also a "Sweat and Playlists" mode which allows players to plan workouts and sessions. You can also record original dances and upload them to the JDTV for other players to view. They have also brought back "Community Remixes" for players to submit their best dance to a remix video featuring other plays. Prior to its announcement at E3Just Dance 2016 was one of several Ubisoft game announcements leaked on Instagram.

Just Dance 2016 is going to be released on Wii, Wii U, Xbox One, Kinect for 360, Playstation 3, and Playstation 4. The app will be available on Android and iOS, as well as on Windows Phone 10, but will only be usable on the Playstation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U. On the Xbox One, players can use either the app or the Kinect to accomodate up to 6 players. Just Dance 2016 will be released in North America on October 20, and in Europe October 23.
