With E3 coming next week, we here at TechRaptor thought we would show you what we expect to see from the major publishers, starting with Microsoft. Their press conference begins June 9th at 9:30 PDT. At E3 2014 Microsoft has a lot to prove. Will the following be enough?

To get it out of the way, there will likely be some kind of information about Halo 5, which was announced at least year's E3. That likely won't come in the form of gameplay footage, but possibly another teaser and maybe some story information. If we are lucky, there may be some kind of neat cinematic to take a look at. Included in the Halo talk will likely be something on the Master Chief Collection as well as the Halo TV series that is being developed.

We will likely also see something about Destiny, seeing as it comes out later this year on September 9th. Unlike Halo, Destiny at E3 will likely have some kind of new gameplay to show off. Like last year, we can likely expect to see some kind of quick level/area run through to show off the game.

Then there may be some rehashes of games that we have seen already from last year, but of we'll see a little more. I'm talking about things like Quantum Break, the new game from the developers of the Alan Wake series. It's main feature is the manipulation of time and uses live-action video in the game as well. And even mroe, there is a Quantum Break TV series in the works to complement the game. Remedy and Microsoft claims that both the game and the TV series will play off one another in some way. What that actually entails is unknown, but maybe some more information about it will be released next week.

Project Spark

Definitely expect to see some more from Project Spark as well. That was one of the few games last year that had a lot of people talking. Project Spark allows you to create your own world on a "digital canvas" where you can make movies or games within the game itself. It is like Microsoft's answer to LittleBigPlanet, but seems to take what you can do to the game to another level. We might get a release date for this, seeing as it has been in beta for awhile.

There may be a little something about Forza Horizion 2, but I would not expect there to be any major news about it. It's another Forza game. Possibly a release date.

We can't forget Fable Legends either. Fable has become a staple for Microsoft and Fable Legends and just like with every Fable game since Fable 2, Fable Legends makes some massive promises about what it can do. The gameplay surrounds up to 5 people playing, 4 heroes and 1 villain. The villain can set up quests for the heroes to go on and other scenarios that they have to work through. Just that concept itself sounds incredibly intriguing, but I just can't trust Peter Molyneux any longer. We'll just have to see.

We may see some Sunset Overdrive and Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare during their press conference, but seeing as the E3 website has both of those titles set to be shown off at a later time, I highly doubt it.

Those are all the things that are exclusive to Microsoft, but we may see some other games pop up as well, like more information on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, as it was shown off during their press conference last year, but that is also listed to be shown on a different stream. Speculating on the wide variety of possible third-party titles would take a long time, so I'll stay away from it.

However, we do know that there have been some unannounced exclusives for the Xbox One, so we can continue to speculate just a bit more. Microsoft hasn't said that it would be a new IP, but just an exclusive, which leads me to believe that we may be seeing some Gears of War. That becomes especially convincing to me seeing as Microsoft recently bought the rights to Gears of War back in January.

There could be more announced, and likely will be. There may be some things we haven't seen before, which there definitely should if Microsoft wants to keep our attention and make big news.

Microsoft has to make a big splash with some interesting titles and announcements at this year's E3, seeing as they are not performing anywhere near the level of their competitor. That doesn't mean that Sony is doing all that well either, as there has been a distinct lack of games for this new generation since the Xbox One and Playstation 4's launch back in November. Microsoft has to make some announcements to sell more consoles. But more importantly, they have to make people want to buy some games for the Xbox One, seeing as there is far too little to entice people as of now.
