Spike Chunsoft has announced that Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will also be coming to the PC in Q2 2017, and is being published by them. This version will be on Steam and will have Achivements, Steam Cloud support, and will be adding Trading Cards. There is a store page for it now if you want to follow it.

The Danganronpa series may have begun life on the PlayStation Vita, but it has been getting ports to other systems in the West to get more visibility. Danganronpa 1 and 2 have both come to the PC with Spike Chunsoft self-publishing it on Steam, but it appears that the interquel Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be taking another path.
Instead of being a Spike Chunsoft self-published title for PC, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls is following the path of Danganronpa 1 • 2 Reload (a compilation rerelease) in that it is being published on PlayStation 4 by NIS America. Announced today by NIS America, Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be arriving after Danganronpa 1 • 2 Reload comes in early 2017, with the target release window for Danganronpa Another Episode being Summer 2017, with both a physical and digital release planned.
Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls takes place between Danganronpa 1 and 2 with gameplay that focuses on third-person shooter play instead of the typical visual novel style of the main two entries of the series. In the game, you play as Komaru Naegi, the younger sister of the first game's protagonist after the events of Danganronpa 1 and find yourself in the world at large dealing with situations hinted at in the first game. Beyond third person shooting, you also have a bunch of puzzles and riddles to complement a series of familiar faces from other games in the series.
Before looking at more information on Danganronpa Another Episode, it's strongly suggested you play the first game, as there are plenty of spoilers for it just in the setup of Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. With that said, here is the new trailer put out today for the release.
