Marty O'Donnell the composer behind Halo is to receive $95,ooo from his ex-employer Bungie after being let go "without cause" on April 11. The suit that was filled on May 1 states Bungie didn't pay out for "unused vacation, paid time off, sabbatical time and other benefits" that had previously been agreed on.

8. Bungie has a policy, pattern and practice of paying its employees accrued but unused vacation, paid time off, sabbatical time, and other benefits, and both Ryan and Bungie acknowledged O’Donnell’s entitlement to such benefits and promised to pay them.
Bungie denied the allegations.
8. Defendant denies the allegations in Paragraph No. 8.
In the settlement $38,385 will be payed for unpaid work and the same amount for damages. Then legal fees and interest bring the total to around $95,ooo.
