Episodic games show no signs of stopping, and both AAA and indie games are continuing to get in on the fun. Blues and Bullets' first episode came out on the PC in July, and got an Xbox One port a months later. After its second episode coming out last month, developer A Crowd of Monsters has announced that both episodes will be hitting the PlayStation 4 on April 19th.

Putting you in the role of famous detective Eliot Ness, Blues and Bullets finds Ness being hired by Al Capone to find his missing grand daughter. Not everything is quite how it seems though. Ness' mind is falling apart as he tries to relive his glory days, while investigating an ever more bazaar crime. Missing children, horrific murders, and a touch of sci-fi, Blues and Bullets has an interesting story for any fan of a noir detective tale. Noticeably the game has a striking black, white, and red art-style, and an neat voice cast that includes Doug Cockle (Geralt in The Witcher series) as Ness.

While the first two episodes are currently available, there's no word yet on when the third episode will be coming. There is some reason to be worried, as the time between the first episode (The End of Peace) and the second episode (Shaking the Hive) was a solid 8 months. Blues and Bullets is planned to be a five episode series.

Developer A Crowd of Monsters has a few games behind them. While Blues and Bullets is their biggest, they also developed Xbox One/Steam rhythm platformer Funk of the Titans, and iOS puzzle game Sugar Kid. They also helped port UnEpic to the PlayStation 4 and Vita.

Blues and Bullets' first two episodes will release on the PlayStation 4 on April 19th. The episodes cost $4.99 each, or you can buy all five episodes at once for $19.99.
