The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector’s Edition and Release Date Revealed

Today, CD Projekt RED put out an announcement video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector’s Edition. Also, they announced the release date: February 24th, 2015. You can view the video of The Witcher 3 Collector’s edition unboxing below.

Here is a list of what is included in The Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition:

  • Geralt battling a Griffin figure (33x24x26 cm)
  • 200 page Artbook
  • Steelbook
  • Game Map
  • Stickers
  • Medallion
  • Game Manual
  • Witcher Universe – The Compendium
  • Soundtrack
  • Collector’s Edition Box

Those listed that are in bold are unique to The Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition. Those that are not bolded, are included in the normal version of the game. So no what you order, you get a decent amount of material. So if you are not as interested in the additions of The Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition, then know that you still get a reasonable amount of cool stuff in the normal version.

The price of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Collector’s Edition is unknown at the moment, but we can remind you that the game’s release date is February 24th, 2015. The Witcher 2 Collector’s Edition was $129.99, however, I would expect this collector’s edition to be a little pricier. While The Witcher 2′s was impressive, the Witcher 3 Collector’s Edition has a few more things that are pretty cool. The most obvious of which is the amazing figure of Geralt and the griffin.

Pre-ordering is supposed to be live here, however, I (at the time of writing this) could only pre-order the normal version of the game. Any attempt to pre-order the Collector’s Edition wouldn’t work. Nothing even brought me to a page for the option to do it. Also, it is not listed as of yet at places like Amazon.

In the meantime, you can look at pre-ordering the standard version here on Amazon. They should update the page, with the new information soon.
